The ECO4 scheme is a government initiative that sees funding provided by energy suppliers to households to help them improve the energy efficiency of homes. The scheme is open to all homeowners in the UK regardless of whether they own or rent their property.
Under the scheme, eligible households can receive free or discounted insulation and solar panels. The level of support you receive will depend on your current property state and your circumstances.
Grants for solar panels are intended to help households that are likely to struggle with the cost of heating their homes as well as those whose home is heated only with inefficient off gas system and in a low Energy Performance Certificate band (E,F or G). As well someone in the household need to receive any listed benefits or meet the low income criteria.
